Busy VS. Effective

“Being Busy” IS NOT the same as “Being Effective”

Being busy (checking email, doing unimportant work) is usually a means of putting off something that’s critically important and probably uncomfortable.  Whenever you have an uncomfortable item on your list that you are putting off – it’s probably the most important you should focus on.

Prioritize.  Always and review the list often.  Focus on 1-2 “effective tasks” per day. Example: something that “unblocks” or allows others to continue their work. The “value” is what doing your task unlocks or now allows to happen.
